Graphic Workshop Professional 15 Revision 9

Graphic Workshop Professional 15 has been updated.

In this release:

• WebP Security: The Graphic Workshop PNG library has been updated to the latest release, 1.4.0. We'd like to take this opportunity to urge all users of Graphic Workshop to update to this release.
  
  
• Crop: Graphic Workshop's Crop window now has a constrain feature. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard when you draw a cropping selection rectangle to constrain it to be a perfect square.
  
  
• Archive Manager: The Graphic Workshop installer now includes file associations for all the archive formats supported by Archive Manager.
  
  
• Anti-tampering: One of the integral anti-tampering strategies included in Graphic Workshop has been hardened to make it even more difficult to get around.
  
  
• Screen Capture: The Graphic Workshop Camera screen capture has been updated. It now occupies somewhat less memory. The Manual Selection mode includes a constrain feature, just like Graphic Workshop's Crop window, above. A spurious window frame that could appear in the Manual Selection mode under some configurations of Windows has been disabused of this behavior.
  
  
• Re-View: Hold down Ctrl and Shift and hit T on your keyboard to re-view the most recently viewed picture in your current Graphic Workshop browser window.
  
  
• Runtime: The installer for the 64-bit edition now includes msvcp140.dll, which is part of the Microsoft redistributable runtime. It's supposed to be installed with Windows, but we've encountered several reports of late by users who found it was missing, and were thus prevented from using Graphic Workshop.
  
  We're reasonably certain that having an extra copy of msvcp140.dll in Graphic Workshop's parent folder won't result in any problems. In the event that we turn out to be wrong in this regard, and you see an error message when you run Graphic Workshop that mentions it, please contact us.
  
  

Calendar Wizard 15 Revision 2

Calendar Wizard 15 has been updated.

• PNG Security: The Calendar Wizard PNG library has been updated to the latest release, 1.6.43. We'd like to take this opportunity to urge all users of Calendar Wizard to update to this release.
  
  
• JPEG: The Calendar Wizard JPEG library has been updated to version 3.0.2 to address a security issue. We'd like to take this opportunity to urge all users of Calendar Wizard to update to this release.
  
  
• WebP: Calendar Wizard's WebP library has been updated to version 1.3.2 to address a security issue. We'd like to take this opportunity to urge all users of Calendar Wizard to update to this release.
  
  
• Registration Key Window: To assist users of Alchemy Mindworks' software who encounter issues with the Registration Key window, it now includes helpful audio prompts. It talks. You'll see a message to this effect when you open it to update Calendar Wizard.
  
  We hasten to add that if you don't find the spoken prompts as cool as we did, you can disable them in the initial prompt window, or in Calendar Wizard's Registration Key window by clicking on Silence.
  
  Disabling the spoken prompts in any Alchemy Mindworks application will disable them for all our software, for the rest of time... or until you explicitly turn them back on by clicking on Sound in the Registration Key window.
  
  
• Drawing Engine: Improves the performance of Calendar Wizard's drawing engine.
  
  
• Performance: Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software developers never really stop meddling with.

If you haven't done so previously, we recommend that you install the Alchemy Mindworks trusted certificate and disable the Smart Screen blue window of doom prior to downloading Alchemy Mindworks software.
