Graphic Workshop
Professional 12 Revision 16
|

Graphic Workshop Professional 12 has been
updated.
In this release:
- Print
Workshop: The Print Workshop window can now be
accessed directly from Graphic Workshop's View mode —
select Print Workshop from the View window's File menu.
Unlike the basic Print function, Print Workshop will
allow you to print your graphics to the exact size you
need them, complete with optional crop and alignment
marks.
- Search:
An issue with the Search function that disabled several
of its processes under some configurations of Windows
has been stomped.
- Photography
Workshop: A problem that prevented graphics with
alpha transparency from displaying correctly in the
tile list of the Photography Workshop window has been
addressed.
- Presentation
Wizard UltraLight: An issue that caused
the Paint function of Presentation
Wizard UltraLight to create invalid
temporary files under some configurations of Windows —
and in so doing disabling or crashing whichever paint
application it called — has been mercilessly stomped, and
will never trouble anyone again.
- Calendar
Wizard UltraLight: The aforementioned Paint problem hitherto
afflicted Calendar Wizard UltraLight as well. It has
been disabused of its boorish behavior.
- Animation
Workshop UltraLight: A problem that could crash
Animation Workshop UltraLight under some
configurations of Windows when certain PNG graphics
were imported has been nailed. The previously
mentioned Paint issue has also been dealt with in
Animation Workshop UltraLight
- BGA: A bug
which prevented Graphic Workshop from reading BGA
graphics correctly under some configurations of
Windows has been addressed.
- CDR: A
bug that prevented CDR thumbnails from being read
correctly under some configurations of Windows is no
more.
- Web Checker:
A cosmetic issue in the Web Checker ancillary
application that caused its Address field combo to be
displayed oddly has been dispatched.
- Resource Leak:
A subtle but truly reprehensible resource leak in
Graphic Workshop no longer inhabits this world.
If you haven't experienced Graphic Workshop
Professional 12 as yet, please see its initial release announcement
for a list of all its new and enhanced functionality.

Alpha Paint 12 Revision
4
|

Alpha Paint 12 has been updated.
In this release:
Memory
Leak: A decidedly pernicious memory leak in Alpha
Paint's folder interface under some configurations of
Windows has been stomped. Left to its own devices, it
could crash the application.
We'd like to urge all users of Alpha Paint to update to
this release as quickly as possible.
- WebP:
The WebP library interface has been improved. In
addition, the current library version number can now be
found in the Credits list of Alpha Paint's About window.
The current release is 1.2.2.
- Drawing
Engine: A number of minor inconsistencies Alpha
Paint's drawing engine have been addressed.
- Default Beep: The
confirmation sound that Alpha Paint plays has found
itself tasked with signalling the conclusion of a
number of processes in Alpha Paint. It has come to our
attention that the Windows sound that it references by
default can be really annoying in other contexts, and
a substantial number of Windows 10 and 11 users
disable it... which also silences Alpha Paint.
Should you find yourself thus afflicted, you can now
copy any short WAV file sound to the Alchemy Mindworks
configuration data folder — see the Configuration
document in Alpha Paint's manual for assistance in
locating it — and name said file Notify.wav to have it
serve as Alpha Paint's default noise.
- Performance:Addresses
a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.
- Documentation:
Updates the documentation.

PNG MNG Construction
Set 12 Revision 6
|

PNG MNG Construction Set 12 has been updated.
In this release:
Paint:
An issue that caused the Paint function of PNG MNG
Construction Set to create invalid temporary files under
some configurations of Windows — and in so doing
disabling or crashing whichever paint application it
called — has been
mercilessly stomped, and will never trouble anyone
again.

The Ultimate Screen
Clock 12 Revision 4
|

The Ultimate Screen Clock 12 has been updated.
In this release:
- Memory
Leak: A decidedly pernicious memory leak in The
Ultimate Screen Clock's folder interface under some
configurations of Windows has been stomped. Left to its
own devices, it could crash the application.
We'd like to urge all users of The Ultimate Screen Clock
to update to this release as quickly as possible.
Pipes: This release of The Ultimate
Screen Clock includes the Pipes digital clock style. Formed of immense
stainless steel pipe fittings, its digits very nearly
shake the earth every time they change.
The example above arguably fails to do it justice —
click on it for a larger clock. We should also point out
that this graphic is an animation, not actual software.
It's decidedly unlikely that it's displaying the correct
time.
The Pipes clock style set also includes an animated
transition clock in which its digits disassemble and
then reassemble themselves every time they change. You
really need to see this one at work.
Unlike most releases of The Ultimate Screen Clock, all
the styles for the Pipes clock are included in the
downloadable installers for The Ultimate Screen Clock.
You don't need to download and install the additional
styles library for this one.
- WebP:
The WebP library interface has been improved. In
addition, the current library version number can now be
found in the Credits list of The Ultimate Screen Clock's
About window. The current release is 1.2.2.
- Select
Clock Style: The Select Clock Style windows in The
Ultimate Screen Clock have been updated with logic to
disable the main clock window while they're open,
improving their performance. We hasten to note that the
clock will resume its correct time display as soon as
you close a Select Clock Style window.
Click on the blue button to download The
Ultimate Screen Clock 12.

If you have registered or upgraded a
registration for The Ultimate Screen Clock 11, we invite
you to upgrade to The Ultimate Screen Clock 12
for half the single-user license price.
