Graphic Workshop Professional 10
Revision 9
(new this weekend)
|

Graphic Workshop Professional 11
has been updated. In this release:
- WebP:
The WebP library has been updated to address a
number of image quality issues and to enhance its
security.
JPEG Security: The JPEG
reader has been updated to the newest library
release to address several potential
vulnerabilities. If you're using the Turbo JPEG
processor, as selected in Graphic Workshop's Setup
window, this one's really essential.
We'd like to urge all users of Graphic Workshop to
update to this release as quickly as possible.
- Presentation
Wizard: The run-time written to documents
created by Presentation Wizard UltraLight has been
revised to address several potential memory leaks,
and to tidy up cosmetic issues in the Page Jump and
About windows. The user interface of Presentation
Wizard UltraLight has been refined.
- Textures
and Fractals: The random seed field in the CGI
Turbulence pane of the Textures window now behaves
correctly.
- Montage:
A bug that caused damaged files to be removed if
they failed to open has been addressed. In addition,
a condition that could cause the Save confirmation
window to appear multiple times for the same
document under some configurations of Windows is
history.
- GWS
Camera: A bug in Setup window of the GWS
Camera screen capture has been addressed.
- File
Time: An issue that caused the File Time
window to flash several times when it was opened
under some builds of Windows has been resolved.
- Textures
and Fractals: A bug that could crash the
Mandelbrot pane under some configurations of Windows
has been stomped.
- Destination:
Several cosmetic issues in the Graphic Workshop
Destination window have been nailed.
- Performance:
Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues
that software developers never really stop meddling
with.
- Documentation:
Updates the documentation.

potential vulnerabilities.

Microsoft Edge web browser to display its
documentation.
- Image
Libraries: Updates the image libraries for
Animation Workshop to address a potential memory
leak.

Animation Workshop have been enhanced. A number of
features of the application are more intuitive and
easier to understand. Everything looks tight and
leading-edge.

of the underlying source code of Animation Workshop.
This has resulted in a smaller, faster
application... and we dispatched a number of
stealthy bugs, memory leaks and security issues.

GIF Construction Set Professional 11
Revision 5
(additional notification)
|

GIF Construction Set Professional
11 has been updated. In this release:
- Loop: Fixes
a bug in the looping logic that prevented the View
window from correctly displaying a finite number of loops under
some configurations of Windows.
- Local
to Global: Fixes a bug in the Local to Global
logic that could mangle the final color palette in
some animations.
- Transitions:
Plugs a memory leak in the Transitions window.
- Wide
Palette GIF: Stomps a bug that crept into the
Wide Palette GIF window. While it's a somewhat
obscure feature of GIF Construction Set, even
obscure features need to behave themselves.
- Resize:
An issue which caused the resize window to
create final animations of slightly unpredictable
dimensions under some builds of Windows is now
history.
- Reconstruct:
A logic issue in the Reconstruct function has been
addressed. This affected several other features of
GIF Construction Set as well, in that they invoked
Reconstruct.
- Titles
and Credits: Addresses an issue in the Titles
and Credits window that could result in unattractive
credits if the text thereof extended beyond the edge
of the animation being created.
- Scripting:
The Scripting functionality has been removed
from GIF Construction Set. A revenant of the late
twentieth century, we're pretty sure no one's used
it in decades. Its departure reduced the code
footprint and the startup time of GIF Construction
Set considerably.
- Performance:
Addresses a number of GDI and performance
issues that software developers never really stop
meddling with.
- Documentation:
Updates the documentation.
