Graphic Workshop Professional 10
Revision 8
(additional notification)
|
Graphic Workshop Professional 11
has been updated. In this release:
- Gaussian
Blur: An issue that caused the Gaussian blur
logic that appears in in various Graphic Workshop
image filters to misbehave when it was confronted
with small areas to process has been addressed. This
also fixes the same issues in the Filters window for
e-Paint UltraLight.
- JPEG Security: The IJG
JPEG reader has been updated to the newest library
release to address several potential
vulnerabilities. If you're using the IJG Standard
JPEG processor, as selected in Graphic Workshop's
Setup window, this one's really essential.
We'd like to urge all users of Graphic Workshop to
update to this release as quickly as possible.
- Favorites:
A memory error in the Favorites window has been
fixed. It prevented Favorites from dealing with
large numbers of entries in a single gallery under
some configurations of Windows.
- HRZ: A
bug in the HRZ writer has been nailed. Admittedly,
this may prove to be the known universe's most
obscure graphic format, but all software bugs
deserve their fate.
- Torn
Edges: An issue with the Torn Edges filter has
been resolved. It hitherto caused some tearing to
look less natural than should have been the case.
- Photography
Workshop: A bug in the Photography Workshop
window that caused its thumbnail list to malfunction
under some configurations of Windows has been
dispatched.
- Textures
and Fractals: A problem that caused the Noise
and Absolute Noise texture panes to share presets —
causing some of their respective library items to
refuse to do anything — has been addressed.
- Threads
Texture: A memory leak in the Threads texture
generator has been disabused of its objectionable
behavior.
- CDR
Writer: A bug in the CDR writer has been
resolved.
- ZIP
Passwords: A logic issue in the password
window for ZIP archives has been fixed. This
affected Graphic Workshop's internal ZIP functions,
and the Archive Manager ancillary application.
- Get
Info: Addresses a cosmetic issue in the
Details and EXIF functions of the Get info window.
- Performance:
Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues
that software developers never really stop meddling
with.
- Documentation:
Updates the documentation.

Workshop Professional 11 as yet, please see its initial release announcement

GIF Construction Set Professional 11
Revision 5
(new this weekend)
|
GIF Construction Set Professional
11 has been updated. In this release:
- Loop: Fixes
a bug in the looping logic that prevented the View
window from correctly displaying a finite number of loops under
some configurations of Windows.
- Local
to Global: Fixes a bug in the Local to Global
logic that could mangle the final color palette in
some animations.
- Transitions:
Plugs a memory leak in the Transitions window.
- Wide
Palette GIF: Stomps a bug that crept into the
Wide Palette GIF window. While it's a somewhat
obscure feature of GIF Construction Set, even
obscure features need to behave themselves.
- Resize:
An issue which caused the resize window to
create final animations of slightly unpredictable
dimensions under some builds of Windows is now
history.
- Reconstruct:
A logic issue in the Reconstruct function has been
addressed. This affected several other features of
GIF Construction Set as well, in that they invoked
Reconstruct.
- Titles
and Credits: Addresses an issue in the Titles
and Credits window that could result in unattractive
credits if the text thereof extended beyond the edge
of the animation being created.
- Scripting:
The Scripting functionality has been removed
from GIF Construction Set. A revenant of the late
twentieth century, we're pretty sure no one's used
it in decades. Its departure reduced the code
footprint and the startup time of GIF Construction
Set considerably.
- Performance:
Addresses a number of GDI and performance
issues that software developers never really stop
meddling with.
- Documentation:
Updates the documentation.

Set Professional 11.

PNG MNG Construction Set 11 Revision 4
|
PNG MNG Construction Set 11 has
been updated. In this release:
- Code
Review: We've completed a line-by-line review
of the underlying source code of PNG MNG
Construction Set. This has resulted in a smaller,
faster application... and we dispatched a number of
stealthy bugs, memory leaks and security issues.
We'd like to urge all users of PNG MNG Construction
Set to update to this release as quickly as
possible.
- User
Interface:The user interface windows of PNG
MNG Construction Set have been enhanced. A number of
features of the application are more intuitive and
easier to understand. Everything looks tight and
leading-edge.
- Image
Libraries: Updates the image libraries for PNG
MNG Construction Set to address a potential memory
leak.
- WebP
Viewer: Addresses an issue in the WebP View
window that could cause the background removal
logic to become confused by some animations.
- Gaussian
Blur: Fixes a bug in the Gaussian Blur
generator in the Shadows window that hitherto
caused it to behave unpredictably when it was
confronted with very small areas to process.
- Transitions:
Addresses a memory leak in the Transitions window.
- Performance:
Addresses a number of GDI and
performance issues that software developers never
really stop meddling with.
- Documentation:
Updates the documentation.
