Graphic Workshop
Professional 14 Revision 5
|
Graphic Workshop Professional 14 has
been updated.
In this release:
- WebP
Security: The Graphic Workshop WebP library has been updated to the
latest release to address several potential security and
performance issues. We'd like to take this opportunity
to urge all users of Graphic Workshop to update to this
release, 'coz the universe has a lot of really bad
people in it.
The current version of the WebP library is available in
the About → Credits window. It's currently 1.3.0.
- Middle
Mouse Button: The browser windows of Graphic
Workshop now respond to middle-button mouse clicks with
your choice of actions. They default to opening whatever
you've middle-clicked on in View, just as if you'd
double-clicked on a document. Middle-clicking is
quicker. You can change the middle-click action in
Graphic Workshop's Setup window. Select the Browser tab.
The Graphic Workshop View window can now be configured
to close if you click in it with the middle mouse button
— see the Configure window in the View File menu. If you
view lots of pictures from within Graphic Workshop,
setting the middle mouse button up this way is
shockingly fast.
- Wild Cards:
The wild card selection window in Graphic Workshop's
browsers, as accessed by holding down Shift when you
click on the blue Select All button, will now scroll to
the first selected document by default. You can disable
this behavior if you like.
- Archive
Manager: A number of issues in the stand-alone
Archive Manager application have been addressed, and its
wild card selection window also now scrolls to the first
selected document.
- Animate Transitions: A number of
metrics have been improved in Graphic Workshop's Animate
Transitions window. If you haven't tried this feature as
yet, you can find it in the Image → Animate Objects
menu. Build dynamic animations and videos from your
photographs, ready to startle your web pages and enliven
social media.
- Paint:
Nails a bug that disabled Graphic Workshop's Paint
function under some configurations of Windows.
Click on the blue
button to download Graphic Workshop Professional 14.

Graphic Workshop
Professional 14 RAW
Digital Camera and Smartphone Plugin Revision 2
|
The RAW Digital Camera Plugin for Graphic
Workshop Professional 10 has been updated to address
numerous format variations, and to add support for dozens
of new cameras.
It currently processes pictures from 1,182
popular digital cameras and phones, including iPhones and
the Samsung Galaxy.
If you haven't encountered this technology
before, most digital cameras that didn't arrive as a prize
in a cereal box create JPEG images by default, but they
can be configured to store raw sensor data. Correctly
processed, pictures saved to RAW files look vastly better
than JPEGs, as they suffer no image degradation.
The "correctly processed" part is this plugin.
The RAW Digital Camera Plugin will let you view RAW image
files exactly as your camera created them, and store them
in a non-lossy format, such as PNG.
If you own a digital camera or a supported
phone — or if you're just thinking about buying one — you
and your immediate descendants will thank you for
downloading this plugin. See the download link, below, for
a complete list of the cameras the plugin supports.
You'll need to be running Graphic Workshop Professional 14
to install this plugin. If you're running an earlier
version of Graphic Workshop, please click on the huge blue
button below to upgrade to Graphic Workshop Professional
14 and access this amazing plugin.
