Graphic Workshop Professional 11 Revision 16

Graphic Workshop Professional 11 has been updated. In this release:

  • Multiple Select Window: Graphic Workshop's multiple image selection window has been updated to address an issue that prevented it from displaying preview images for some formats, under some configurations of Windows.

  • PNG Selection: The Graphic Workshop PNG reader did not always correctly manage animated PNG graphics being opened to extract or process individual frames. Now it does.

  • ICO Selection: The Graphic Workshop ICO reader encountered a similar issue to that of the PNG reader, above... and no longer does.

  • AVI Reader: The AVI reader now correctly processes and displays sixteen-bit AVI documents.

  • Paint: The Paint function accessed from Graphic Workshop's View window could previously crash Graphic Workshop if it were asked to open a document having alpha channel transparency in a non-alpha-aware paint application. It's way better behaved now.

  • 3D Printing: The user interface windows for Print Cube and Print Dodecahedron have been updated to correctly handle dragging graphics around their lists.

  • Get Information: The Get Information window is notably quicker for some formats - it hitherto read the document information twice for some document types. In addition, it can now be closed by clicking outside it.

  • Destination: Fixes a cosmetic bug in the Destination windows that appeared under some configurations of Windows.

  • Performance: Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software developers never really stop meddling with.

  • Documentation: Updates the documentation.

If you haven't experienced Graphic Workshop Professional 11 as yet, please see its initial release announcement for a list of all its new and enhanced functionality.

  • Menu Editor: Addresses a bug in the right-click menu object editor that prevented its drag and drop functionality from working correctly under some builds of Windows.

The Ultimate Screen Clock 11 Revision 4

The Ultimate Screen Clock 11 has been updated. In this release:

  • Diode: The Diode clock style style channels the awesome, leading-edge technology of the twentieth century... which, yes, was quite a long time ago. It's retro without involving any actual vacuum tubes. Diode comes in four colors, with and without a dissolve effect between its digits. The latter looks seriously cool.

We hasten to add that the foregoing clock is an animation, not actual software. It's extremely unlikely that it's telling the correct time as you read this.

  • WebP and JPEG: The WebP and JPEG libraries have been updated to produce the best possible output quality.

The updated JPEG library addresses several potential security threats. This one's particularly important if you download graphics from the Internet to use a screen saver backgrounds.

We'd like to urge all users of The Ultimate Screen Clock to update to this release as quickly as possible.

  • Rendering Engine: Several issues with The Ultimate Screen Clock's rendering engine have been addressed, to produce more consistent graphics.

  • Performance: Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software developers never really stop meddling with.

  • Documentation: Updates the documentation.
