Text Effects #2, #3, #4 and #5 Plugins Revision 2

The Text Effects #2, #3, #4 and #5 animation plugins for GIF Construction Set Professional 11 and PNG MNG Construction Set 11 have been updated. In this release:

• User Interface: Updates plugin user interfaces to make them cleaner and more intuitive.
  
  
• Textures: Fixes some intermittent crashes when the texture fill options were used under some configurations of Windows 10.
  
  
• Fountains: Addresses a problem with the plugins accessing their fountain libraries under some builds of Windows, and updates the default fountain libraries with an expanded palette of entries.
  
  
• Code Review: We've completed a line-by-line review of the underlying source code of the Text Effects plugins. This has resulted in a smaller, faster applications... and we dispatched a number of stealthy bugs, memory leaks and security issues.
  
  
• Performance: Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software developers never really stop meddling with.
       
  
• Documentation: Updates the documentation.

Upgrades

If you have valid registration keys for the Text Effects plugins — no matter how old they are — they'll work in the latest versions. You will need version 11 of GIF Construction Set Professional or PNG MNG Construction Set to install them, however.

Should your installation of Construction Set Professional or PNG MNG Construction Set be older than version 11, we invite you to upgrade to the current releases for half the single-user license price.

PNG MNG Construction Set 11 Revision 6

PNG MNG Construction Set 11 has been updated. In this release:

• WebP: The WebP library has been updated to address a number of image quality issues and to enhance its security.
  
  
• JPEG Security: The JPEG reader has been updated to the newest library release to address several potential vulnerabilities. This one's really essential.
  
  We'd like to urge all users of PNG MNG Construction Set to update to this release as quickly as possible.
  
  
• Plugins: The plugin interface has been dissuaded of its propensity for crashing under some configurations of Windows.
  
  
• Export to WebP: A bug in the Export to WebP window that could cause the background color in exported animations to be set incorrectly has been stomped.
  
  
• Background Color: The Animated PNG background color logic has been updated. This both ensures that your background colors will be set correctly, and prevents the software from crashing on occasion, under some builds of Windows.
  
  
• Performance: Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software developers never really stop meddling with.
       
  
• Documentation: Updates the documentation.
